The SGA Gender Inclusion Committee works to maintain an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment at Bryn Mawr College for students of all gender identities. As understanding of gender evolves, it is our interest to help Bryn Mawr’s administration and student body navigate what it means to be a Historically Women’s College, and to create a better atmosphere and community on campus for students of all gender identities.
As an SGA (Self-Government Association) Committee, we function under SGA to serve the student body and Bryn Mawr community. Our members are appointed via the SGA Committee Appointments process that occurs at least once per semester.
The Committee was re-established in Fall 2022. In recent years, the Committee has focused on projects geared towards gender education and understanding what it means to be a gender-diverse and historically women’s college. More information on our goals and projects can be found on our projects page.
